Free outdoor movies are once again returning to Toronto parks next month, giving you the perfect excuse to get out and make the most of those long summer evenings.
Toronto Outdoor Picture Show has just announced its full movie lineup, and there's lots to look forward to.
Things kick off on opening weekend at Christie Pits Park (June 26 to 28) with Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, a comedy set right here in Toronto and end on August 23 with an audience choice. Pick between Millenium Actress (2001), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Life of Pi (2012), Roman Holiday (1953), Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), or Little Miss Sunshine (2006). To vote, simply make a charitable donation of $25 or more and choose your favourite!
Highlights of the festival include a special appearance from actors Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol, as well as a 35th anniversary screening of Thelma & Louise (1991).
Showtimes start at sundown, but be sure to arrive early to get a good spot.
