Grab your popcorn! Toronto Outdoor Picture Show is returning for another summer, with 19 open-air screenings running from June 26 to August 23.
The festival will once again take over Christie Pits Park, Corktown Common, and Bell Manor Park, transforming the green spaces into massive outdoor cinemas where movie lovers can gather with blankets, snacks, and lawn chairs for free screenings all season long.
While the entire schedule has yet to be announced, the lineup for opening weekend has just been revealed, and it looks like the festival is kicking off with a bang.

Opening weekend will take place at Christie Pits Park with a three-night lineup featuring Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie (2025) on June 26, One of Them Days (2025) on June 27, and the Toronto premiere of Güeros (2014) on June 28. Canadian short films will also screen before each feature presentation.
One of the biggest highlights will be an in-person appearance from filmmaker and actor Matt Johnson alongside co-star Jay McCarrol on opening night, before the screening of Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie.
The lineup also ties into this summer's international championship soccer games, with the films set in three major cities across the host countries: Toronto, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
This year's festival theme is "Going Places," so guests can expect films centred around all kinds of adventures and unexpected journeys.
Think everything from travel within cities, across countries, and into the wilderness, to voyages made across land, sea, space, and time.
As always, showtime starts at sundown, but be sure to arrive early to get a good spot. And keep an eye out for the full festival lineup, which is expected to be announced on May 20.
