Popular spring market in Toronto returns this weekend for one day only

One of the biggest spring markets in Toronto is bringing Y2K fashion finds and vintage goods to the Ossington strip this weekend.

The Archive Market is bringing more than 15 carefully selected vendors to its upcoming sale on Saturday, May 9. Shoppers can expect to find vintage clothing, women's wear, Y2K fashion, and unique jewellery as they browse the market offerings.

Paul Filo, co-owner of The Archive Market, tells us how a deep appreciation for timeless pieces and the stories they hold ultimately inspired the creation of the vintage market.

A sense of community

"What began as a personal passion for collecting and curating unique finds quickly grew into a desire to create a space where others could experience that same excitement," shared Filo.

"At the heart of it all, we're deeply committed to sustainability, giving pre-loved items a second life and promoting more conscious ways to shop. We also wanted to create a supportive platform where small businesses and independent vendors can promote their work and connect with new customers."

It's all about building a community, as Filo puts it, that not only celebrates creativity and sustainability but also appreciates vintage culture.

What to expect

As previously mentioned, all the vendors are carefully selected to ensure they align with the market's values. One of the vendors you should look out for is Carried Vintage. This team specializes in authentic vintage designer bags.

"Since we have never had a vendor like them before, we are excited to see their amazing selection," adds Filo. If you're looking forward to the FIFA World Cup this year, you may want to check out My Retro Kits. According to Filo, this vendor offers some of the best curated, authentic soccer jerseys.

"Together, we're building a community that celebrates creativity, reduces waste, and embraces the charm of vintage culture. Our market is more than just a place to shop, it’s a way to bring people together through style, history, and shared purpose," he adds.

The Archive Spring Market will take over the parking lot at 18 Ossington Ave. on Saturday. See you there, Toronto!
