One of Toronto's most gorgeous spaces transforming into a silent disco

The Silent Discos in Incredible Places crew is touring major Canadian cities, bringing its iconic silent parties to unique venues across the country, and it will soon be making a local stop at the Toronto Reference Library.

Known for transforming unique spaces into spectacular event venues — the British Museum, Llandaff Cathedral, and Laurenskerk Rotterdam, to name a few — Silent Discos in Incredible Places hosts shows worldwide. Now it's coming to Toronto for an '80s-themed disco, where the Toronto Reference Library will be lit with festival-grade lighting and production, setting the stage for a huge indoor party.

Three DJs will spin classic '80s hits for what organizers are calling a "feel-good experience like no other." Hundreds of silent-disco lovers are expected to attend, with music from icons like Queen, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Wham!, Michael Jackson, and more.

There's no specific dress code for the event, but guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Seating will be limited and primarily reserved for those who need it most, so attendees can expect to spend most of the event standing (or dancing, of course). A fully stocked bar will also be available for guests to purchase concessions.

Silent Discos in Incredible Places in Toronto will take place on Dec. 13 and will be divided into two sessions. For anyone looking to party early and still be home by 10 p.m. — a trend that has become increasingly popular in the city — the first session runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Those looking to jam out a little later can opt for the second session, from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Beyond Toronto, this 18+ premiere party tour will also take over the Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton, the Musee de la civilisation in Quebec City, and the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau. Tickets for the event start at $62.97 and can be purchased through the organizer's official website.

This edition of Silent Discos in Incredible Places will be held at the Toronto Reference Library, located at 789 Yonge St.
