The City of Toronto is back with its annual Victoria Day fireworks celebration at Ashbridges Bay Park, set to light up the sky with bright colours and kick off what will hopefully be a packed summer season.
Head to the park's beach this long weekend and find a cozy spot for the 14-minute show, something that's become an annual tradition in the east end. You can also catch the entire dazzling display from the boardwalk stretching from Emdaabiimok Ave. to Victoria Park Ave.
And, if you're really trying to avoid the heavy crowds expected at Ashbridges Bay Park, you can still get a great view from nearby spots like Woodbine Beach, Woodbine Park, and Tommy Thompson Park.
If you're outside the city for the long weekend, there are other fireworks displays taking place across Ontario for you to enjoy, depending on your location.
A reminder that, according to the City, you can set off fireworks on your own property on Victoria Day without a permit. Fireworks are allowed until 11 p.m., after which they must come to a full stop.
The fireworks display will take place on May 18 at 10 p.m. at Ashbridges Bay Park, located at 1561 Lake Shore Blvd. E.
