toronto banana bar crawl

Hundreds of drunk people in banana costumes to take over Toronto streets

Things are about to get entertaining — or should I say bananas? — in Toronto as the Banana Bar Crawl makes its way back to the city this September.

After so much success last year — a total of 1,500 people dressed up as bananas took over the downtown bar scene in 2024 — the Banana Bar Crawl is making its return, and if last year's chaos was anything to go by, things are about to get...interesting.

This year, the crawlers will make stops at Dublin Calling, Rock 'n' Horse, Grace O'Malley's, Queen St. Warehouse, Fiction, and more. Does that list sound a-peeling?

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind crawl start at $20 and are open for sale starting September 3. Your ticket comes with all the perks you need to have the perfect night out. By that, I mean you get entry into every venue without the cover, a banana suit (yes! The suit is provided. Bananas, right?), cool prizes up for grabs, and drink deals everywhere the party stops.

This event's mission: have hundreds of bananas roaming around downtown Toronto, taking over one bar after the other while downing Fireball (the event's official sponsor), and partying into the wee hours of the morning. It's simple and quite funny.

With the event boasting to be "North America's biggest Banana Bar Crawl" it will be interesting to see how they top the numbers that they saw last year.

A reminder that all attendees must remain in their banana costumes throughout the duration of the night to take advantage of all the perks you get with your ticket. Once you have purchased your ticket, head on over to the event's official Instagram page to find out what your pickup time, date, and location will be.

The Banana Bar Crawl takes place on September 29, starting at 7 p.m.
