Radar: The Epicure's Revue, Rose Coloured Glasses, The Collapsed, PWYC Wednesday at Ranch Relaxo, Blink 182 + My Chemical Romance, Fairy Tale Redux

FILM | The Epicure's Revue
The Revue Cinema has a great monthly series combining film and food. One must agree that "Films For Foodies" doesn't have much marquee value (or maybe it was taken?), so it's a wonderful thing that they have called this series "The Epicure's Revue" - much classier! This month's feature is the Italian film, "Mid-August Lunch", a comedy-drama that centers around the challenge of preparing a special meal for a group of highly charged personalities. There will be a tasting before the film, where you will have a chance to sample Italian treats from seven local 'restos'. Chef Joshna Maharaj will also give a short talk on Italian cuisine. In addition, there will be some special deals for filmgoers if they continue their evening out at one of the participating dining establishments. Buon Appetito!
Revue Cinema (400 Roncesvalles Avenue) 6:30PM $12 / $10 for members & seniors

ART | Rose Coloured Glasses
Local artists Laura Mcinnis and Samantha Madonik will be displaying their work this evening on the main level of the El Mocambo, and their exhibition concerns personal perceptions of the world, and one's inner responses to these views. How apt, that they have named their event "Rose Coloured Glasses"! There will also be musical performances by Alphabot, Grounders, and Ramiro And The Monsters. Any canned food collected at the door, as well as bar proceeds will go to charity via the venue.
El Mocambo (464 Spadina Avenue) 7:30PM $5 + can of food or $8

FILM | Special Screening: The Collapsed w/ cast & crew Q&A
Tonight, the folks at The Projection Booth bring you a special screening of the Canadian horror film, "The Collapsed". This film deals with one family's 'inner-tensions' in the face of apocalyptic crisis, and societal collapse... Who wouldn't be a little tense? "The Collapsed" received some very favourable reviews when it was first released in the Spring. Tonight's your chance to catch it if you missed it the first time, and there will be a Q & A with some cast and crew following.
The Projection Booth (1035 Gerrard Street East) 7PM $6

MUSIC | PWYC Weds w/ Alex Sheriff + Adrian Hogan, Monster Fever, Fun Fact
Tonight at Rancho, we are promised a lineup with a sense of humour! First up, is Fun Fact, a band from London, who have been playing around the city a bunch lately, and getting strong support from the jamband and 'groove' oriented crowds. Also on the bill are Monster Fever, who are a band with chops, and also... costumes! Yes, they dress up like monsters, and have a story to tell. Closing things out will be a live hip hop set from Alex Sheriff and DJ Hogan. This will be one eclectic and original night of music!
Rancho Relaxo (300 College Street) 9PM PWYC
