Radar: Jason Alexander Live, Min Sook Lee's Tiger Spirit, Altered Reality, Office Spaced! Animation Workshop, Selena Gomez and the Scene

COMEDY | An Evening of Comedy with Jason Alexander
It's festivus for the rest of us in Toronto tonight because Jason Alexander, star of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, is in town to perform a stand-up set at the Sony Centre. Alexander performs on behalf of the fundraising campaign to support the UJA and will follow his routine by chatting with CBC's Elliotte Friedman. Tickets are still available and are priced affordably so you won't have to worry about your wallet exploding like George Costanza.
Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (1 Front Street East) 7:30PM $35-$125

FILM | Post Mortem: Min Sook Lee's Tiger Spirit
The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto presents this post-mortem dissection of Min Sook Lee's Gemini Award-winning film Tiger Spirit. Over the course of three days, director Min Sook Lee, along with producers Ed Barreveld and Anita Lee and a group of cinematographers, broadcasters and editors, will teach attendees what goes into producing and developing a feature film. As part of the 2011 LIFT filmmaking workshops, this series will require a great deal of "tiger spirit" because in addition to the time and money it requires, there will be homework.
Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (1137 Dupont Street) 6PM $95-$115

ART | Altered Reality
How does the concept of reality differ from person to person, artist to artist? Toronto artists exhibit their altered perceptions of reality in this show that opens at the Hang Man Gallery tonight. Drawing from all schools of artistic style--from cubism to abstract to expressionism--the pieces on display tonight will attempt to convey the individual artist's reality through various mediums of art. The opening reception will occur at the gallery on Thursday at 7PM with the artists in attendance and the show runs until September 4th.
Hang Man Gallery (756 Queen Street East) 12PM Free

FILM | Office Spaced! Animation Workshop
The National Film Board Mediatheque is getting animated this evening with a workshop designed for adults over 18 who want to build skills and learn about found object animation. This class will be a team effort in designing a work place animation inspired by Toronto's urban surroundings and bringing it to life. Part of the summer workshops, this free series of learning-based classes is soon to come to an end, so reserve a spot before it's too late.
NFB Mediatheque (150 John Street) 6PM Free
