PARTY | 7 Year Itch Presents: My Barbarian
The Drake Hotel is 7! What talent is worthy enough of such a gargantuan celebration you may ask? The lovely Drake people have summoned the help of My Barbarian, a collective group of performers whose "interdisciplinary projects explore and exhume cross-cultural mishaps and misadventures drawn from history, mythology, art and pop culture." Don't hesitate to hustle your booty to the Lounge, for an event of this caliber only comes along once a year.
The Drake Hotel - Lounge (1150 Queen Street West), 8pm Free
MUSIC | Wild Nothing & Abe Vigoda @ Wrongbar
Wild Nothing a.k.a. Jack Tatum has been making big waves for the past few years, gaining him the title of one of the most humble kings in indie-pop on the scene right now. His last EP entitled Golden Haze was released in October 2010 and if you haven't had a chance to pleasure your ears with it, it is highly recommended you do. Hailing all the way from LA will be Abe Vigoda to complete the bill of a dynamic duo of spellbinding shows. Always a home-run with Embrace and tonight's show at Wrongbar is no exception.
Wrongbar (1279 Queen Street West), 9pm $12
ART | Graphic Details: Confessional Comics by Jewish Women
The exhibition is certainly in a league of its own, as it explores the role of Jewish women in the world of graphic storytelling. Jewish characters have frequently been featured in cartoons and this is nothing new, however what is refreshing is the unique niche that female Jewish voices have created. This will be an exploratory journey of their stories through drawings, full comic books and graphic novels, happening for a limited time only at the beautiful Gladstone Hotel
Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West), 7-10pm Free
COMEDY | The PB and J "Love Hertz" Sketchprov Show
The PB and J Sketchprov troupe has a special edition to share tonight, one that caters to the lovesick and love hopefuls who may have been disappointed by our favourite red-encrusted holiday. For those who are still feeling the reverberations, shake them off with a magical and hysterical performance by this troupe, at tonight's special show called 'Love Hertz'. Created and performed by Pat Thornton, Bob Banks and Jason DeRosse it is not to miss. Also expect some special comedy acts and musical performances.
Bread & Circus Theatre (299 Augusta Avenue), 9pm $10 door

Show will be running only until February 27, so get moving!
