VARIETY | Worst Night II: Plastic Factory, Tom Henry & Moron Movies
Retro is back as they say, and if you find yourself at The White House tonight (no, not that one) you'll witness retro back with a vengeance in the form of a good old-fashioned variety show, Worst Night II. This will not be your typical variety show, with Plastic Factory playing covers of the psychedelic era as well as classic film compilation Moron Movies and a DJ set. Leave your jazz hands at home and prepare to get dirty.
The White House (277 Augusta Avenue), 8pm $5

MUSIC | Out of this Spark 4th Anniversary
The Tranzac is hosting the Out of this Spark 4th Anniversary party tonight with a killer line-up of tunes and all for a very worthy cause - saving the Tranzac no less. This place is a Toronto landmark and with a pay-what-you-can cover, cheap beers and great live music, there really is no excuse to hustle on over. Evening Hymns, The Pale Mornings and Kite Hill will be playing, to name a few.
Tranzac (292 Brunswick Avenue), 8pm PWYC

ART | Symptoms of Relation
Local artist Avala Moore has brought her exhibit titled Symptoms of Relation to the Gladstone, with the official reception being held this evening. This show "focuses on the relationships which we all have; with art, with each other, and with reality." An interesting touch to the night will be the added spectacle of live models donning costumes and body paint, who will engage in performance art with the corresponding pieces they feature in. 75% of proceeds made will go to the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre.
The Gladstone Hotel -2nd Floor (1214 Queen Street West), 7pm PWYC

MUSIC | TWM: Persian Rugs, the Lava and Ash, Father Christmas @ Rancho
Recently garnering a lot of buzz, most noteworthy from Pitchfork, Persian Rugs is a Toronto three-piece creating airy, tap-worthy, melodious, bedroom indie-rock. Very impressive considering they've only released a demo. Watch out those with addictive personalities, their song "Always All" will have you playing it on repeat. Get ahead of the beat and head down to Rancho ce soir.
Rancho Relaxo (300 College Street), 9pm $6

MUSIC | Dan Haid's EP Release Party
Dan Haid has just wrapped up his debut solo release, "One on One" and wants to share it with friends, fans and strangers alike. Join in on the celebration at College Street Bar where the man himself will be spinning disco and house until the wee morning hours with the help of DJ DFPR. Bet you can't stay for just one drink.
College Street Bar (574 College Street), 9pm Free
