Radar: MASS Talk no. 14, Hidden in this Picture, Halloween Hangover, Sorauren Park Pumpkin Parade

LECTURE | MASS Talk no.14: Canada's (non) Food Policy with Dr. Rod MacRae
Who doesn't like food, right? Everyone has to eat it for one reason or another but isn't it a real pain buying it these days? Sure people love the grub but people also really like money and holding on to it. I mean six bucks for a frozen pizza in a downtown grocery store? Forget that, brosef! Join Dr. Rod MacRae as he looks at our starving urban centres, food security, and policies that will help Canada's transition to healthy and sustainable food and agriculture systems. Sounds interesting, engaging and very appetizing.
Jamie Kennedy's Gilead CafĂŠ, 6pm

THEATRE | Hidden in this Picture - Performance/Fundraiser
Hidden in this picture is a one-act satire written by TV's Aaron Sorkin, so if you like Sports Night or Charlie Wilson's war you can expect a lot of laughs. The play will be followed by Pat Murray and Mark Kieswetter performing Beatles tunes.
Monday, November 1st at 7pm at Bread and Circus, 299 Augusta Ave., $20

PARTY | Halloween Hangover
Halloween is over now so everyone can just relax! The excitement of covering your house with clumps of cotton and giving red onions out to the children is over for another boring year. Almost. Psych! Don't stuff your face with cheap candy just yet 'cause there's still more partying that needs to be done and you're the one who needs to do it. Music, drink specials, fun. What more could you want in November?
Rockwood Nightclub, 31 Mercer St.

Community | Sorauren Park Pumpkin Parade
Another Halloween hangover (but in a good way) is the annual Sorauren Park Pumpkin Parade. If you did a bang up job on your jack-o-lantern, why not give it one more day in the spotlight?
Sorauren Park, Evening.
