MUSIC | Tabla Co-Lab: Prita Chhabra Album Release
Tabla Co-lab presents a night of fantastic live music celebrating the release of Montreal-based South Asian singing sensation Prita Chhabra's debut album "Spread The Word", with additional performances by percussionist Gurpreet Chana "The Tabla Guy", Canadian-Iranian rap star Imaan Faith, and Toronto Dub DJ crew Version Xcursion.

David Blaine-approved master magician Daniel Garcia reveals a few of his tricks at this fun, interactive workshop and lecture. Expect slight-of-hand, comedy and pure astonishment, as he shares the wealth of knowledge he has learned in a lifetime of making magic happen before the eyes of thousands. Limited seating availabe.

PARTIES | Quick Fix: Live Painting with Bowman and Skratch Bastid
The Drake Hotel plays host to local artist Bowman, who drops by to work on a new painting in a live session for all to witness. At the end of the night the piece will be given away, so slip in your bid to take it home! Spinning all night long, world-class Montreal DJ Skratch Bastid returns to the Drake for a summer-style House Party that will have all three floors shaking.

MUSIC | OFF SEASON: The Owle Bird and Weather Station
Experimental music troupe The Owle Bird bring the noise to the Music Gallery for a special double-bill concert that also features Tamara Lindeman's art-folk project The Weather Station. Lacking any of the self-gratifying bluster associated with "rock" groups, these two musical treasures will have the audience spellbound from the first note onwards.

SPORTS | PFL "Throwdown" at Wrongbar
Whether you agree with their principles or not, The Pillow Fight League has definitely made it's mark on the world, and it's always been an undeniably entertaining spectacle. With this one-on-one "throwdown" match, fighters are able to challenge one another freely for the title of #1 Contender against current PFL World Champion Olivia Neutron Bomb, with a few past champions thrown into the mix for good measure.

GALLERY | Suicide PactSuicide Pact is a group exhibition of new work from Toronto artists Ginette Lapalme, Chris Kuzma and Patrick Kyle. Known collectively for their comic book anthology Wowee Zonk, the trio now presents a body of work demonstrating the group's unique sense of humour while exploring themes of death, psychedelia and self-indulgent fantasy. To August 30.
