The Blogerati Files: torontostreetfashion.com

This week in the Blogerati Files, Rachel from torontostreetfashion.com

Describe your blog in 10 words or less.
Part of the torontostreetfashion.com site - a little about T.O.s fashion scene!

Why did you start your blog?
First because there are barely any people representing Toronto fashion online! Also, I added the blog to the site because its so easy to post! You can write anything you like and not worry about proper grammar, headings, structure, etc... Love that!

How long have you lived in Toronto?
Always.

What are some of the changes in Toronto that you have seen in your lifetime?
Who can count...new buildings, new highways, new neighbourhoods. From being able to swim at the beach to - hey, wait a minute, people still swim in the beach?!

What era, day or event in Toronto's history would you like to re-live and why?
Winning the Baseball World Series the first time was a lot of fun - it was the first time I actually felt a sense of strong community.

Do you have a favourite post from your blog?
Would have to be a review about an Honest Ed's Fashion Show that I didn't even write! It's the only blog that caused controversy and attracted a slew of heated comments!

Fav blogger?
I usually love looking at Toronto photo blogs - and fashion blogs of course! My fav right now is Final Fashion.

What's happening in Toronto right now that the rest of us should be watching?
Well fashion-wise, 80s street punk is back on the scene! And who thought anything from the 80s could make a comeback?! Striped shirts and tights; funky on-your-face hairdo's; vintage layering and the most crazy 80s disco outfits!

You have the opportunity to gather with 5 of your regular readers - who are they, where do you meet and what do you talk about?
Fashion media, big merchandisers and potential advertisers - at 7West for the most delicious ravioli and espresso martinis - and we talk about how we're going to put more pizazz and attract more interest in Toronto's fashion industry.

Have you ever had a question you wanted to ask random people throughout the world?
I'm a Gemini - I usually ask people tons of questions all the time! Where did you get your shoes, what do you do for a living, where have you travelled, can I take your photo...

If your blog were a food, what food would it be?
Chocolate cake 'cuz 1. you can't get it wrong and 2. I love it!
