Shawn Mendes announces Toronto concert date at historic Massey Hall

Canadian pop sensation Shawn Mendes has announced a special performance at Toronto's historic Massey Hall on November 25, where he will perform the entirety of his upcoming album Shawn. 

This one-night-only event, titled For Friends & Family Only will offer a unique opportunity for fans to see Mendes in an intimate environment as part of a limited worldwide tour this fall.

Known for selling out arenas across the globe, Mendes is taking a different approach with this tour, opting for smaller, theater-style venues to connect more closely with his audience.

The Massey Hall show is one of a handful of performances where Mendes will showcase the new project in a more personal, acoustic setting, giving fans an up-close experience with the new music.

The change in venue size comes after the singer made headlines for canceling the remainder of his arena tour back in 2022 to prioritize his mental health.

Tickets for the exclusive event are extremely limited, and the process to secure a spot is quite unique.

Fans will need to register on the singer's official website on September 30th at 9:00 a.m. ET to be considered for a chance to purchase tickets.

A random selection process will determine which fans will be given the opportunity to buy tickets.

Fans who are selected will be notified by email and text message by Monday, September 30th at 2:00 p.m. ET.

For those intense fans looking to increase their chances, Mendes' team is offering a 'Priority Standing GA Presale' option.

Fans who add their credit card information and ticket preferences in advance will be eligible for this exclusive presale, which gives first access to 'Standing Only' tickets.

If selected, tickets will be automatically purchased for the fan, and their credit card will be charged.

A small number of fans will also be randomly selected for the 'Friends & Family Fan Onsale', which offers the chance to purchase up to four tickets.

If chosen, these fans will receive a one-time-use code 30 minutes before ticket sales go live. This code will allow fans access the chance to purchase their tickets on the ticketing site used by the venue.

However, receiving a code does not guarantee tickets. The tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served system when they go live on Tuesday, October 1st at 10:00 a.m.

Do no fret, fans who are not selected in either of the raffles will be added to a waitlist and alerted if additional tickets become available at a later date.

With Mendes typically performing in much larger venues, this intimate performance is set to be a rare and special experience for those lucky few.

Massey Hall, one of Toronto's most historic concert venues, will provide a suitable backdrop for the highly anticipated intimate performance featuring his upcoming release.

The album is expected to be released on October 18th.
