"We're thrilled that for 20 years, Polaris has been celebrating music as art, and not a product, highlighting the best Canadian Albums each year, and now, new this year, the best Canadian songs," said Amber Still, Polaris Music Prize Executive Director.

"We're happy to share a discount with Toronto to attend the must-see event where nine incredible Canadian artists will perform from their shortlisted albums, and the winners will be crowned."

In celebration of Polaris Music Prize's 20th Anniversary, fans can get 20 per cent off tickets by using code POLARIS20.

The lineup for the Polaris Concert and Award Ceremony includes Bibi Club, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Marie Davidson, Nemahsis, Population II, Ribbon Skirt, Saya Gray, The OBGMs, and Yves Jarvis. The 2019 Polaris winner, Haviah Mighty, will be hosting.

Mustafa is also shortlisted but won't be able to perform at the event.

The Polaris Music Prize awards $30,000 to the artist who creates the Canadian Album of the Year, as voted on by an 11-member grand jury that judges the works solely on artistic merit.

This year will also see the debut of the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize category, which crowns the Canadian song of the year without regard to genre or popularity. The winner will receive $10,000 to divide between the song's Canadian performers and the song's credited Canadian songwriters.

Also happening during the Polaris Concert and Award Ceremony is the awarding for two Heritage Prize designations.

Tickets to the Polaris Concert and Award Ceremony are on sale now.
