Planet Earth Party Tonight

If you're funky and you know it, come out to The Drake tonight. Purplelectricity is hosting the official Planet Earth release party.

If last year's 3121 party is any idication, this party should be hoppin'. Besides dancing with the funkiest crowd in town, you'll have a chance to win copies of Prince's new album Planet Earth. If you're feeling particularly purple tonight, try a special Glam Slam martinis and cocktails, just like they serve at Prince's Glam Slam nightclubs. It's almost like being in Minneapolis!

Purplelectricity is Canada's only recurring Prince tribute party. DJ Doctor Baggie will feature music and videos spanning Prince's entire career from 1978 until the present. Other funky tunes are often thrown into the mix. So you can shake your tail to some classic Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Grandmaster Flash in between heavy doses of Prince.

Details and tips to jump the line below the jump...

The party starts at 10pm. Tips to get in faster: Get there early. Ignore the huge lineup front of The Drake. Proceed to the door people. Tell them that you're there for the Prince Party and they'll send you down to The Underground party, provided they're not already at capacity. Cover is just $5.
