Charli xcx parties at Toronto bar after TIFF film premiere

British pop superstar Charli xcx was spotted partying the night away at a trendy new King West bar following a premiere at TIFF 2025.

TIFF has only been on for one day so far, but the stars have already descended on the city in a big way, and what better way to kick things off with a bang than with a spotting of the "Brat" herself.

Following the premiere of her film, Erupcja, in which the singer takes a leading, atypically earnest role, and where the singer was instantly flocked by fans on the opening night of the festival, the "360" singer celebrated the only way we'd expect: by hitting the club.

Toronto being the nightlife city it is (some may disagree, but we're of the opinion that the scene is on the up-and-up), the popstar, for whom partying is basically a personal brand, has no shortage of potential places the singer could have chosen to celebrate at.

A secret speakeasy? A warehouse rave? A private yacht in the middle of Lake Ontario? No, no, and no. Instead, the singer-turned-movie star opted to swing by none other than the new King West vinyl bar Vinny after the screening.

Could it be? Is King West cool again? If it's good enough for Charli, it's good enough for us.

She didn't show up alone.

While husband George Daniel (The 1975) was nowhere to be seen, acclaimed playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris, who co-wrote and stars in Erupcja alongside xcx, and collaborator Mustafa The Poet also swung by Vinny to celebrate.

TIFF's 50th edition kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 4, so the star sightings are just getting started, and even xcx herself is due to make additional appearances at the festival, so you may still have a chance to see her up close and personal.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, Roman Gavras' Sacrifice, in which xcx similarly takes a leading role alongside Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault and John Malkovich, is set to premiere at the festival.

We can only begin to dream up all the places that the afterparty could take place. Perhaps at friend and collaborator The Dare's concert at 131 McCormack St. that very same night. Only time will tell.

If you're looking to do a little bit of boots-on-the-ground star spotting during the film festival but aren't sure where to go, our list of some of Toronto's biggest celebrity magnet restaurants is a pretty good place to start. Not that we're biased, of course.

Vinny is located at 480 King St. W.
