Value Village opening second boutique in space that used to be home to iconic Toronto bar

If your world was recently rocked by the knowledge that Queen and Bathurst will soon become home to a Value Village "Boutique" location, brace yourself, because there are going to be two, and the second one is in an equally iconic spot.

Value Village isn't just opening up at 639 Queen St. W. next to CB2, they're also taking over the legendary Brunswick location in the Annex that used to be home to a Rexall and before that was a popular dive bar.

The massive location has a 7,500-square-foot main floor, and the building is 145 years old.

People have been vocal about their skepticism toward a Value Village Boutique concept on social media, especially following previous criticism that the so-called "charity" shop has been raising their prices too high.

A rep has told blogTO that "Value Village Boutiques are essentially smaller format Value Village thrift stores" with the "same great value on secondhand items."

The Value Village Boutique at Queen and Bathurst is supposed to be opening on July 7.
