A Toronto consignment store got a surprise visit from one of the fashion industry's most powerful figures, and his purchases could very well soon be worn by some of Hollywood's most in-demand A-listers.
If you've ever found yourself in abject envy over one of Zendaya's impeccable red carpet outfits, there's a better-than-good chance that high-profile stylist Law Roach was behind it.
Dressing everyone from Celine Dion and Bella Hadid to, most recently, Kim Kardashian, Roach has ascended to icon status in recent years thanks, in large part, to his impressive collection of archival fashion and his longstanding partnership with Zendaya.
For a clothing store, a visit from Law Roach would be akin to a restaurant getting a visit from the late Anthony Bourdain, or a sports bar unexpectedly serving Sidney Crosby.
But it's not a hypothetical. That's exactly what happened for the team at Dundas West's VSP Consignment on Saturday, Sept. 26.
"Thank you to the iconoclastic @luxurylaw for visiting our showroom yesterday!" the store wrote in the caption of an Instagram post of the team posing with Roach.
According to the caption, the stylist walked away with vintage pieces from Issey Miyake and Miu Miu and, the store adds, "hopefully a little VSP obsession."
We'll have to wait and see whether those pieces were purchased for Roach's own personal collection or to dress his household name clients in, but, like the store alludes, this may very well be the start of a beautiful friendship between Roach and VSP.
VSP Consignment is located at 1410 Dundas St. W.
