A pizza chain that boasts nearly 30 restaurants in British Columbia has finally made the leap to Ontario with its first-ever Toronto location.
Here in Toronto, we're not exactly lacking in pizza joints. We've got everything from mom-and-pop to major chains in good supply, but there's good reason for it: this city loves its pizza.
And lucky for us, a new place to grab a slice when the craving calls just arrived in the city by way of the West Coast.
Though the name Yummy Slice doesn't mean much to us eastern Canadians just yet, in BC, it's everywhere: since launching in 2021, it's expanded to a whopping 28 locations in the province, with an additional one in Alberta, and now one in Toronto.
The offerings at Yummy Slice are fairly standard, though admittedly much more expansive than you're likely to find at most local pizza shops, offering all the classics, signature pies like tandoori paneer and creamy corn, plant-based pizzas and a handful of pastas.
Bearing the motto "more YUMMY, less MONEY," it's not hard to imagine that another considerable chunk of Yummy Slice's success lies in its affordable prices: a medium pie with three toppings goes for just $9.99.
Seeing as many Toronto residents have little choice but to pinch their pennies wherever possible these days, Yummy Slice's arrival in the city will more than likely be a welcome one. And if the chain's track record in BC can be any indication, it won't be long before even more Yummy Slices open their doors on home turf.
Yummy Slice is located at 60 St. Clair Ave. E.
