A Toronto property that has seen the failure of two restaurant businesses in the last few years will be taken over by a popular arcade bar.
The team behind Tilt Arcade Bar, which currently operates out of 1255 Queen St. W., has reportedly signed a lease to take over a vacant restaurant space at 182 Dupont St. in The Annex.
Tilt's newest venture will be known as 'Bumpers,' and is described as a "retro arcade bar" opening soon.
The location was previously home to Pour House, which operated there for 12 years before shuttering its doors in 2024, followed by Stella's Kitchen, which opened that same year and ceased operations in late 2025.
In August, OMG Real Estate (which I swear is the business' actual name) announced that it had secured a tenant for the property, sharing on social media that "Good things sometimes take time, but we're confident we found the right fit for this killer Annex hospitality venue."
"We're incredibly grateful to have worked with both the Landlord and Tenant on what is sure to be an awesome new addition to the neighbourhood," the post reads.
The block has seen high turnover in recent years, including the venerable People's Food storefront, which has seen the replacement of Rose and Sons with Chilliy Pepper Tacos, as well as the closure of longtime grocer The Kitchen Table and its replacement by New Forest Market just across the street.
