One of Toronto's favourite sushi spots is opening a second location

A viral Toronto sushi spot tucked away in an alleyway is officially getting a second location, meaning you’ll soon be able to taste its premium, dry-aged sushi in a new neighbourhood.

Currently nestled on 962 College St., down Billy Cameron Lane, Oroshi Fish Co. is a hidden takeout spot that's easy to miss if you don’t know where to look (psst, search for a fish sign and a blue door).

The shop is made up of a fish market and sushi counter under one roof, serving high-end sushi, sashimi, rolls, and donburi, with a particular focus on premium-sourced fish and an in-house dry-aging process.

The team over at Oroshi processes and butchers its fish fresh every day, dry-aging it for anywhere from two to seven days, giving its offerings a slightly firmer texture and a deeper, umami-rich flavour.

If you've never tried it for yourself, you've likely seen their colourful, tightly-packed sushi sets on social media, including their $63, 11-piece omakase featuring bluefin tuna, yellowtail and scallop.

Aside from their sets, Oroshi offers classic sushi rolls, sashimi, and a donburi menu featuring bowls with ingredients like salmon, negitoro (chopped fatty tuna with chives), caviar, and Japanese sea urchin, all contributing to a booming takeout business.

As the restaurant's popularity continues to grow, its team is now preparing to set up shop in a new neighbourhood: Oroshi's second location is slated to open in late November near Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.

Staff confirmed to blogTO that the new outpost is expected to offer the same menu as the original College Street location.

Oroshi Fish Co.'s next location will be located at 2564 Yonge St.
