If there's one thing Toronto loves almost as much as a good collab, it's a long line, and this one is likely to deliver both.
Shake Shack is officially teaming up with New York-style pizza shop Pizzeria Badiali on a trio of limited-time menu items. As you are probably well aware, the Dovercourt pizza shop routinely draws pizza-loving customers down the block, and its menu has earned a reputation for selling out almost as quickly as the line forms.
The upcoming partnership follows Shake Shack's collaboration with Mimi Chinese last year, as well as Badiali's limited-edition Miss Vickie's chips, which highlighted the shop's signature vodka sauce.
Crafted by Toronto chef and Badiali founder, Ryan Baddeley, the limited-time menu leans into both brands' signatures, starting with the Spicy Vodka Chicken Parm, which features a crispy chicken breast layered over a Badiali and Shake Shack hot pepper mix, topped with Badiali's spicy vodka rosé sauce, aged parmesan cheese, sliced mozzarella, and fresh basil on a toasted potato bun.
To accompany your sandwich, there's the Pizza Fries, featuring crinkle-cut fries tossed in Badiali's unmistakable pizza seasoning, served alongside the pizza shop's housemade pepperoncini dip.
Of course, no meal is complete without dessert, and the two brands have collaborated to reimagine the bittersweet Toronto-made soda, Brio Chinotto, as a shake by blending it with Shake Shack's signature vanilla frozen custard.
"Badiali has always been about doing simple things really well. Shake Shack gets that. These three dishes are exactly what they should be, nothing more," says Ryan Baddeley.
You can try all three exclusive menu items from April 6 to April 19 at four Shake Shack locations in Toronto — Yonge and Dundas, Union Station, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and Yonge and Eglinton — or order them for pickup or delivery through platforms like Uber Eats and Skip.
