LCBO and Beer Store hours in Ontario this holiday season

The holiday season has arrived in Ontario, meaning you're probably wrapping up any loose ends this week, with shopping for liquor or beer potentially being on your list of to-do items.

Before you actually head down to your local LCBO or Beer Store location this week, there are some adjusted hours and scheduled days off that you should be aware of.

For the most part, LCBO and Beer Store locations will operate throughout the holiday, with a few notable exceptions.

Here are the LCBO and Beer Store hours in Ontario this 2026 holiday season.

LCBO

LCBO stores across Ontario will be open throughout the holiday season, with the exception of Thursday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), and Thursday, Jan. 1 (New Year's Day).

Select stores are set to provide extended holiday hours until Dec. 23, but all outlets will close early on Wednesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) at 6 p.m.

On Friday, Dec. 26 (Boxing Day), select stores will be open and operating with reduced hours.

All LCBO stores will be open, and some stores will operate with extended hours on Wednesday, Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve).

If you're planning on heading to the LCBO this week, make sure to check the store locator on their website to confirm specific store hours.

The Beer Store

Similar to the LCBO, all Beer Store locations will close early at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24.

All outlets will also be closed on Dec. 25, but select stores will reopen with modified hours on Dec. 26. These stores include 452 Bathurst St., 904 Dufferin St., 2153 St. Clair Ave., and 2625A Weston Rd. in Toronto, 3130 Danforth Ave., 2727 Eglinton Ave. E., 3561 Lawrence Ave. E., 2360 Kennedy Rd., and 871 Milner Ave. in Scarborough, 1718 Wilson Ave., and 6212 Yonge St. in North York, and 1530 Albion Rd. in Etobicoke, which are all open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Unless otherwise posted, Beer Stores will be open for normal operating hours on Boxing Day.

If you're planning to grab some last-minute beers in time for the countdown, make sure to head out a bit earlier, as all Beer Store locations will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. As with the LCBO, all Beer Store locations will be closed on Jan. 1.
