People formed very long lines to get free Dave's Hot Chicken in Toronto for Drake's birthday

A massive queue of people lined up Tuesday at Dave's Hot Chicken for free food in celebration of Drake's birthday.

After it was announced that the fast food chain would once again be giving out free food for the rapper's birthday, videos surfaced online of just how busy locations in Toronto got.

All people needed to receive a free slider is to show they're following Dave's Hot Chicken on either Instagram or TikTok. The offer is only valid Oct. 24; Drake's 37th birthday.

"Happy birthday and more life and chicken for our fam," the company said on Instagram.

Toronto's Yonge Street location was packed with customers on Tuesday as video posted on TikTok displayed a gigantic line that began at the restaurant and stretched all the way down the block.

"The entire downtown Toronto is standing in line for 45 minutes in 12C weather to get a free chicken sandwich," the video said.

Another post shows a similar scene of people forming a huge line down the street outside of a location taking up a portion of sidewalk as pedestrians pass by.

The fast food chain was founded in 2017 in California and has famously been backed by Drake, an investor in the company.

Last year, hundreds also lined up in Toronto for free sliders and tenders for the rapper's birthday.
