festival of sake

Toronto is getting a Japanese food and drinks festival

If you like all things Japanese, whether that be food or booze, an upcoming festival in Toronto might be just for you.

Kampai Toronto is back for its 10th annual year of the Festival of Sake. The event is organized by The Sake Institute of Ontario, a not-for-profit trade organization of sake importers, distributors and manufacturers.

This year, the cultural, food and sake festival will showcase sake from over 50 breweries from Japan and around the world and over 200 sakes in total. Many brewers will be flying in from Japan for this special event.

The festival will have taste testings available from some of Toronto's top local Japanese and Asian restaurants and feature craft vendors and Taiko drummers.

To sample foods and drinks, tickets will be required along with the price for admission.

The Festival of Sake will take place Oct. 1 at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.
