Toronto's weather throughout October and November has been a bit all over the place so far, with relatively warm daytime temperatures making it feel like winter is still a ways away, but that could soon change, as the city is gearing up to face a noticeable temperature drop over the next few days.
According to Environment Canada's seven-day forecast, Toronto is set to reach a daytime high of 20 C on Wednesday, with a mild overnight low of 15 C.
Conditions will remain relatively mild on Thursday, with a forecast high of 17 C and a low of 7 C overnight, with a chance of showers throughout the day. Friday is set to bring slightly cooler temperatures, with a high of 15 C and a low of 10 C, along with another chance of showers.
The biggest temperature change is expected to arrive as we head into the weekend, when the daytime high on Saturday will drop to 13 C. Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to just 3 C, representing a swing of 17 C when compared to Wednesday's high.
Sunday will feel even more like fall, with a daytime high of just 8 C and a low of 4 C.
If you're wondering if Toronto's cooler temperatures will be here to stay, the Old Farmer's Almanac has also released its long-range weather forecast for southern Ontario, and it looks like the rest of the month will bring a mix of conditions.
According to the Almanac, Nov. 18 to 22 could bring the first signs of snow to the region. Between Nov. 23 and 26, southern Ontario could see rain showers, along with milder temperatures.
Finally, flurries and colder temperatures are expected to take over between Nov. 27 and 30.
Overall, the average temperature in southern Ontario is estimated to be 4.5 C in November, which is 1 C above average in the east, and 4 C above in the west.
Precipitation totals will likely reach 45 mm, which is 25 mm below average, according to the Almanac.
