Biidaasige Park expansion is Toronto's newest place for must-see city views

An impressive expansion of Toronto's Biidaasige Park debuted to the public over the weekend, giving the city ten new acres of waterfront parkland boasting a blend of serene nature and outstanding views of the bustling downtown skyline.

The new western phase of Biidaasige Park drew crowds to the Ookwemin Minising island in the Port Lands on Saturday, as curious locals flocked to the new public space on a near-perfect day of summer weather.

Among the highlights of the expansion, the park now offers new nature-inspired features, a promenade with unmatched skyline views, a 3,000-person event lawn, and access to a new one-kilometre stretch of the rerouted Don River.
