TTC to shut down almost 5 kilometres of subway for this entire weekend

TTC subway closures planned this weekend include a full two-day shutdown on a portion of Line 2 stretching from Kipling to Jane stations

It will be another consecutive weekend of transit disruption in Toronto thanks to a scheduled closure spanning an over 4.5-kilometre-long stretch of the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway, set to last for the entire weekend of Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.

The TTC states that the latest closure is, again, due to ongoing track work, becoming just the latest in the total of 38 planned overlapping full-weekend closures announced by the transit agency at the start of 2025.

Royal York Station will be closed throughout the outage, though all other affected stations will remain open for passengers to purchase or reload fare cards and connect with surface transit.
