Toronto's first cherry blossoms of 2025 now blooming and here's where to see them

Spring has sprung in Toronto, and it's brought with it one of the city's most stunning natural sights: the annual cherry blossom bloom.

While we're likely still a week or so out from the city's most iconic Sakura trees at High Park hitting their peak bloom, there are plenty of other spots in the city that the breathtaking pink trees also call home, and some have already started to bloom.

If you just can't wait to feast your eyes (and Instagram feed) on the springy sight, you now have the opportunity at the University of Toronto's Robarts Library.

Local photographer and sakura enthusiast Henry Huy has been keeping an eye out for the flowers so you don't have to, capturing stunning images of the very first flowers to reveal themselves for the 2025 season.

After Robarts, you can expect to see trees blooming at spots in the city, including Trinity Bellwoods, Exhibition Place and, of course, High Park, over the coming week.
