Elon Musk's daughter speaks out about idea that Canada become 51st state

The estranged daughter of Elon Musk is clapping back at her dad and U.S. President Donald Trump's administration for its "Canada as the 51st state" threats.

Vivian Jenna Wilson is one of the children Musk had with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson.

As the convicted felon-turned-president continues to push what even some American citizens are calling "ridiculous rhetoric" of Canada becoming the 51st state, Canadians’ animosity towards members of Trump's administration grows ever stronger.

Musk has felt the brunt of the hatred, with hundreds of thousands of Canadians signing a parliamentary e-petition calling for his Canadian citizenship to be revoked.

The petition accuses Tesla's CEO and now senior advisor to Trump of "engaging in activities that go against the national interest of Canada."

It claims Musk has used his wealth and power to influence Canada's elections and has now become a member of a government "attempting to erase Canadian sovereignty."

The billionaire responded to the petition earlier this week on his X platform, stating that "Canada is not a real country." Musk has since deleted the post, though it lives on in screenshots.

"I'm ngl this Canadian '51st state' s**t has upped my Canadian patriotism by about 5000000 per cent," Vivian posted on Threads last week.

One of Elon Musk's daughters appeared to criticize the ongoing "Canada becoming America's 51st state" rhetoric, and by extension, her father on social media this week, saying it all made her feel far more patriotic as a Canadian.

Vivian and her father have a fractured relationship. In an interview with NBC last year, Wilson described the tech mogul as an absent father who was cruel to her for being queer and feminine after Musk made transphobic comments about her transgender identity on social media.

"'Are you Canadian?' Yes. My mom is from there, my mom's parents are from there, their parents are from there, etc. I am literally a Canadian citizen, argue w/ the national government idk," she replied to her post on Threads last week.

Musk himself also has deep ties to Canada.

He was born in South Africa but has Canadian citizenship via his mother, Maye Musk, who is originally from Regina. He also has U.S. and South African citizenship.

Additionally, the SpaceX CEO has had kids with three Canadian women and once worked as a lumberjack in this very "not-real" country.
