Celebrate the Sun with a Solar Pool Party Today

If you're not into the pedal party today at the Conservation & Sustainability Fair, you might want to head to the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre for a solar pool party. Looks like we've got the perfect sunny day ahead for this.

There will be workshops on renewable energy and energy efficiency, solar neighbourhood tours of Riverdale and exhibits from solar companies and community groups. There are also a bunch of kids activities planned, including solar s'mores, ice cream in a bag and solar car races, as well as pool games in Canada's largest solar-heated pool.

You'll also be able to find out more about solar installations on City of Toronto buildings, the Solar Neighbourhoods program in Riverdale, and the Toronto Renewable Energy Coop.
