Dang Good Donuts
Dang Good Donuts is a new shop in Toronto serving up proof that good things come in small packages.
Located just north of Yonge and Eglinton, Dang Good Donuts specializes in bite-sized donuts served in compact pink and green containers.
The shop itself, which first opened in May of 2026, consists of a tiny takeout window with a menu above the counter. A floral accent wall, decorated with custom neon signs, makes the space look slightly larger than it actually is.
Despite the shop's small size, Dang Good Donuts is consistently busy, with customers lining up as early as 10 a.m. to get a taste of their desserts.
Dang Good Donuts splits its donuts into three categories: original, specialty and "bougee." Though all three types are the same price, each is intended to appeal to a unique audience.
Original donuts are for diners who like classic flavours and simple presentation, specialty donuts are for slightly more adventurous diners looking to try something new and exciting, and bougee donuts are the most indulgent items on the menu, with fancy toppings and glaze galore.
Donuts are sold in multiples of six, with six-packs ($7) being the smallest size and forty-eight-packs ($40) being the largest.
Nine flavours are currently available for purchase, with more to be released in the coming months.
Original glazed donuts are the shop’s signature flavour. Simple yet satisfying, each order is coated with sugary glaze, providing a crunchy contrast to the soft dough.
Maple glazed donuts offer a similar texture, albeit with a slightly richer flavour.
Both of these donuts belong to the "original" category, making them ideal for visitors who want to keep things simple.
Hazelnut crunch is a specialty flavour, topped with chopped nuts and hazelnut syrup. Its rich, nutty flavour is matched only by its delightfully crunchy texture.
One of the most colourful options on the menu is the birthday cake flavour, which combines rainbow sprinkles with the same sugary coating used in the original glazed.
Strawberry cheesecake is a "bougee" flavour, made with strawberry syrup, sugar glaze and graham cracker crumble.
Though the lack of cream cheese may be a turn-off for some, I still found the donut's resemblance, flavour-wise, to an actual strawberry cheesecake to be quite remarkable.
Dang Good Donuts also serves a variety of other desserts, including ice cream and drinks.
Soft serve ($7) comes in three different flavours: mango, vanilla and swirled. The ice cream has a thick, creamy consistency and does not melt easily, even in the summer heat.
Refreshers ($6) are cool, fruit-flavoured beverages, which come in a variety of bold colours.
My personal favourite was the strawberry-watermelon flavour, whose bright red colour complemented my red-and-black outfit perfectly.
Dang Good Donuts is located at 2487 Yonge Street.
