The Toronto Cupcake Tour
Cupcakes are the IT dessert right now and we don't need any more evidence of that than blogs like A Cupcake Takes The Cake and Toronto's own A Baked Creation. The latter, whose posts are, uh, baked up daily by the team of Sylvia and Howard (self described PICs - Partner in Cupcakes) just completed a cupcake tour of four of the spots on Queen East that we featured in our round-up of the best cupcakes in the city.
They don't say which place they liked the best, but they have a full scorecard and photos of Life is Sweet, It's the Icing on the Cake, Babycake and Sweet Bliss. Yum.

It's true. Not only is this post a year or so too late, but its such a huge copy of what spotlight toronto already did with their cupcake articles last year. they copied the same format basically and posted it as their own.
I think the new in thing is cookies cookies. they're everywhr!
Oooohh, cupcakes. Cupcakes lovers have to give Amy Sedaris recipe a try - yummy, funky wonders!
The Sweet Escape Patisserie in the Distillery has the best cupcakes, all butter , all terrific.

Though I will admit we've been inundated by cupcakes over the last few years, I don't think their popularity should make us any less appreciative of their deliciousness. For me, nothing beats a vanilla cupcake with tacky pink icing.
