corn maze in ontario

This massive 10-acre Ontario corn maze is hiding a secret inside

You can literally get lost in the fall seasonal spirit with an Ontario corn maze-meets-escape room.

Ontario's Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm boasts a sprawling 10-acre cornfield labyrinth, and the only way out is to crack the clues.

The Ontario returns with its annual cornfield maze — roughly the size of 23 ice hockey rinks combined — which reveals a hidden storyline for guests to follow as they make their way to the other side.

This year, Buzzing Bees is bringing guests the Pirate Puzzle Hunt, where maze-goers must solve eight interactive puzzles to unlock the Pirate's Treasure. Once you're in, you and your team can take as much time as you need to plot your escape; winning teams will even receive a token prize from the farm.

Although it may be challenging, the escape room-style experience suits all ages, with emergency exits throughout the maze if you get lost and need a way out.

After surviving the twists and turns, make sure to check out the other seasonal activities that Buzzing Bees offers, including an elastic band shooting range, pumpkin bowling, a tilt maze, and games of giant checkers.

The foodie in you can tuck into seasonal themed treats like haskap, kettle corn, and maple syrup, which are also available for purchase on the farm.

General admission to the farm is $10 and includes the on-site activities and corn maze experience. The farm is open Fridays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can also visit on select Mondays, with the complete schedule available on its website.

Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm is located at 1070 Concession Rd. 5, Sunderland, Ont.
