Toronto is getting a new ultra-cheap flight to Mexico

If you're looking for a budget-friendly way to escape Canada's potentially frigid fall season this year, you'll be pleased to hear that a new ultra-cheap flight service is launching from Toronto to Mexico City soon.

Ultra-low-cost carrier Flair Airlines is launching the new service to Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez from Toronto Pearson Airport, with one-way fares starting at $160.

The service officially launches on Oct. 28, with three flights scheduled each way per week. Departures from Toronto Pearson will run Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 8:15 p.m., landing in Mexico City at 11:45 p.m. The return flights operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, leaving Mexico City at 12:45 a.m. at arriving in Toronto at 7:25 a.m. Fares for returning trips start at just $120.

The move is part of Flair's continued expansion into Mexico, building on existing service to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara.

Known as one of the largest and most culturally rich cities in the world, Mexico City is known for its iconic sites like Museo Frida Kahlo, the Museo Nacional de Antropología, and Templo Mayor, world-famous street food, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant neighbourhoods like La Condesa and Roma.

Flights on the new service are now available for booking online.

Flair isn't the only airline to expand its network in Mexico recently. Earlier this year, Air Canada also announced its new Toronto to Guadalajara, Mexico service launching as part of its winter 2025-26 season on Nov. 4, 2025.
