best places to move canada

Canada named the best country in the world to relocate and start fresh

Sometimes you need a change of scenery, and in these trying times, I don't blame anyone for wanting to relocate and start fresh somewhere else. A recent study by Remitly used data from TikTok to figure out where in the world people want to relocate, and Canada took the number one spot.

According to the study, Canada blew all the other contenders out of the water, with 16,523 tags on TikTok, making it the most-discussed destination to move to by a long shot.

When you think about it, are you really surprised? National parks, crystal blue lakes, incredible restaurants, four wonderful seasons, bustling cities, and being known for being home to some of the friendliest people in the world are just a few things that make Canada so great. Oh, and the Coffee Crisp, ketchup chips, denim-on-denim outfits, bagged milk, and poutine.

In second place is Spain. Raking in 9,915 hashtags, this was one of three European countries to crack the list. Not far behind Spain is Australia, with the land down under putting up 9,377 tags related to moving.

The top 10 countries for relocation in 2025 are as follows:

  1. Canada
  2. Spain
  3. Australia
  4. Portugal
  5. Thailand
  6. France
  7. Mexico
  8. Japan
  9. Vietnam
  10. United States

Would you relocate to any of the other countries on this list? I think I'll stay right here in good ol' Canada.
