The Toronto Maple Leafs brought in many new faces over the offseason, but none has made a bigger impact through the first month of the season than forward Jack Roslovic.
The 29-year-old is currently riding a seven-game point streak after scoring twice in the Maple Leafs' 3-2 loss to the Utah Mammoth on Tuesday.
Roslovic now has 18 points in 17 games this season, including five goals and 12 assists on this point streak he's been on since Oct. 20.
If he can keep it up, he's on pace to set career highs in both goals and points. His previous high is the 45 points he recorded in 81 games while he was with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2021-22 season.

He's already making the two-year, $8 million contract he signed with Toronto over the offseason look like a bargain.
So, what could be behind this uptick in Roslovic's production?
Much of it could be down to the chemistry he has developed with Leafs captain Auston Matthews.
The two have been friends since they played junior hockey together with the U.S. National Development Team Program before they were drafted. This season with the Maple Leafs happens to be the first time the two are on the same NHL team, and the connection is paying off.
Matthews has assisted on five of Roslovic's eight goals this season, while Roslovic has also helped Matthews rack up the numbers, assisting on five of his 11 goals since the start of this year's campaign.

The chemistry between the two extends beyond the ice as well. After Roslovic signed with Toronto, Matthews reportedly helped him get settled into the city, showing him around and suggesting places to check out around town. Talk about going above and beyond for a teammate.
Whatever the bond is, it appears to be unlocking a part of Roslovic's game that he hasn't had before, and Leafs fans are happy to see it.
