Drake hosted the third annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event at Casa Loma in Toronto on Tuesday, and a few women in attendance walked away with some lavish prizes, including TSN reporter Kayla Grey.
Grey shared on her social media page several luxury items she won from the 39-year-old musician. The prizes apparently included $50,000 in cash and a limited-edition Mercedes-Benz AMG G 63 SUV worth north of $200,000.
At the end of the night, Grey left the event more than a quarter of a million dollars richer — and that's not even including the Birkin handbag.
Drake drew the winning ticket numbers for each prize, and it just so happened that Grey's was the one coming up for some of the night's biggest giveaways.
When Grey's ticket was drawn for the limited-edition G-Wagon, Drake could be heard joking in a video posted to her Instagram page, "They're going to think this is rigged."
He quickly followed it up by insisting it wasn't. He even swore on his son's life.
Grey has worked as TSN's Toronto Raptors sideline reporter since 2019. In April, she announced that she'd been hired by Amazon's Prime Video as their new WNBA sideline reporter.
Drake's annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event, held at Casa Loma, is in its third year. It's an invite-only celebration that aims to recognize and give back to Canadian women across a variety of industries.
This year's guest list featured media personalities, social media creators, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
According to TMZ, 10 women won $50,000, six others received $100,000, and another six attendees drove away in luxury vehicles. Drake reportedly gave out upwards of $2 million at this year's event alone.
