Tommy Nance's time with the Toronto Blue Jays has come to an end.
On Friday afternoon, it was announced that the Blue Jays were trading the 35-year-old relief pitcher to the Minnesota Twins. In exchange, they've received 21-year-old prospect Ryan Sprock, who has played third base, catcher, and outfield during his time in both single-A and high-A levels. The Jays also sent the Twins international signing bonus pool space in the deal.

Nance pitched three seasons with the Blue Jays, during which time he compiled a 3.22 ERA over 86.2 innings. He owns a 3.82 ERA through 33 innings this season.
Prior to joining the Blue Jays, Nance spent time with both the Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins. He will provide bullpen depth to a Twins team sitting third in the AL Central Division with a 46-48 record.
Sprock, who was selected in the 8th round of the 2025 draft by the Twins, is hitting .306 with five home runs and 37 RBIs in 65 games this season with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels in single-A. He was also just recently named the Mighty Mussels player of the month in June.
Following the trade, the Blue Jays bullpen consists of Patrick Corbin, Mason Fluharty, Chad Dallas, Jeff Hoffman, Adam Macko, Tyler Rogers, Jeff Hoffman, and Louis Varland.
