Toronto Blue Jays players showing off all sorts of cool custom gear this weekend

MLB's Players Weekend has arrived, and Toronto Blue Jays players did not disappoint.

Players across the league have chosen to celebrate the weekend by using custom equipment to celebrate their families, hobbies, and hometowns. The Blue Jays are no different, with multiple players getting in on the fun.

Nathan Lukes showed off a pair of custom bats for the weekend, each one dedicated to his two kids: four-year-old Remi-Lynn Lukes and one-year-old Jett Stone Lukes.

Remi-Lynn's bat was decorated with stars and flowers, while Jett Stone's had some fighter jets.

Lukes was not the only Blue Jays player to take advantage of the weekend with some custom equipment.

Catcher Alejandro Kirk was decked out in some custom-made gear that paid homage to his hometown of Tijuana, Mexico, as well as his new home in Toronto. It was a striking look behind the plate.

Fellow Mexican ballplayer Brandon Valenzuela also had a pair of custom bats. He followed Kirk by honouring both his native Mexico as well as Toronto.

Myles Straw also got in the action, with a Batman-themed baseball bat for the weekend. The all-green design certainly stood out among Blue Jays players.

Davis Schneider and Louis Varland took a little bit of a different approach with some custom-designed cleats to trot out onto the field with. Schneider chose to honour his dog on his cleats, while Varland gave his a fishing-related makeover.

Lastly, new Blue Jays pitcher Paul Sewald also showed off some new cleats that honoured his two daughters, Chloe and Hayden. He also got the words "girl dad" on his glove as well.

Everybody knew this Blue Jays team had a lot of personality, and Players Weekend allowed that to take centre stage.
