Living in the Greater Toronto Area means accepting that anything fun comes with a line: brunch, arena concerts, and yes, screaming your face off for 60 seconds at Canada's Wonderland.
Now that the largest theme park in the country is open for the season, with 18 roller coasters, including the record-breaking AlpenFury and changes to existing rides, like the re-skinned DareDeviler, we couldn't help but wonder how much precious time people are willing to stand in line to experience the white-knuckling thrill of a one-minute roller coaster?
blogTO hit the streets of Toronto, and the answers received were flabbergasting. Some people said they'd wait in line for two to three hours like it's nothing. Three. Whole. Hours. For a ride that's done in the time it takes to reheat a pizza.
@blogto How long are you willing to wait in line for a rollercoaster? 🎢 🎙️ @_joshuasnow ♬ original sound - blogTO
During a media visit to Wonderland, I waited in line for an hour and 45 minutes to ride AlpenFury and I can guarantee I will never do that again. I'd rather be at home watching back-to-back episodes of The X Files — way more thrilling to me.
So, what's your cap? How much of your free time are you willing to devote to a roller coaster line?
