Toronto has been home to many ski (and, more recently, snowboard) hills over the generations, but as of the mid-2020s, there is only one official ski slope left in the city.
The Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre at Earl Bales Park is the only existing ski facility within the 416, following the 2021 demise of Centennial Park's now-closed slopes.
And for the many local residents who don't travel by car, Earl Bales is the only way to hit the ski slopes without hopping on a bus to resorts outside of the city.
The Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre is not going to give you a double-black-diamond experience, or really challenge your skill level in the slightest, which makes it a great place for beginners or people just looking to fine-tune their game without travelling outside of our mostly flat city.
What it does have is a beginner hill (colloquially, the bunny hill) with a rope tow, a main hill with three runs served by a four-seat chairlift (offering some spectacular views of the North York skyline), a ski chalet, and washrooms.
Here's what it's like to spend a day at Toronto's only ski hill.

The ski season at Earl Bales Park kicked off earlier in January and runs until mid-March, weather permitting.
