The FIFA World Cup is less than one month away, and the hype in Toronto is reaching an all-time high.
On Friday morning, the City of Toronto released additional free tickets for the FIFA Fan Festival. Just hours later, they all had been scooped up.
This additional wave of tickets followed a release earlier this month. More than 340,000 tickets were included in the first release, granting fans free admission for the festival, which will span from June 11 until July 19. That first release saw all tickets sell out within two hours.
The Festival has a daily maximum capacity of 20,000, with 80 per cent of fans able to enter at no cost. The additional 20 per cent of tickets sold include premium access.
Fans that weren't able to land free tickets to the event do still have the option to purchase from three different tiers of premium access.

The premium passes are available for $122.70 (Garden Pavillion), $183.25 (Pitchside Terrace), and $358.70 (Casamigos Clubhouse). Those who purchase these tickets will have expedited entry lines, access to private lounges, upgraded washrooms, and enhanced viewing areas of the main stage and screen.
The FIFA Fan Festival, which is taking place at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway, will feature 46 matches in total, while also including several concerts featuring the likes of Alessia Cara, French Montana, The Strumbellas, Walk off the Earth and more.
Meanwhile, those looking for single-game tickets in Toronto can get them through the FIFA website. This includes Canada's opening game versus Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12.
