Here are the Toronto Blue Jays' odds of winning the World Series next year

As you probably know by now, the Toronto Blue Jays were inches away from winning the World Series.

The old sports adage goes that there's always next year, but diehard sports fans know that's not exactly true.

Since 2000, only six teams have lost a World Series and then later went on to win one in the coming years, though often with entirely different rosters. For example, the 2011 and 2012 Texas Rangers lost back-to-back World Series before finally winning the franchise's first title in 2023.

Toronto, meanwhile, will be looking to emulate a team like the 2015 Kansas City Royals, who bounced back from a 2014 World Series loss to win it all.

For Blue Jays fans, some might be optimistic heading into the 2026 season, even if there's bound to be some roster turnover.

But according to oddsmakers at FanDuel, that optimism isn't exactly shared across the board.

Toronto's opening odds for winning the 2026 World Series sit at +2000, 10th among all teams across the MLB.

Two teams that the Blue Jays beat in the playoffs, the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners, come in ahead of them in the odds, being ranked second and fifth, respectively.

Speaking of fifth, that's where Toronto ends up in the American League odds, also being ranked behind the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox.
