The Toronto Blue Jays picked up their biggest win in a generation on Wednesday night, knocking the New York Yankees out of the playoffs.

And less than 12 hours later, many Blue Jays fans were in a fight of their own, trying to get Jays tickets for the next round of the postseason.

While the Jays don't yet know who they'll be playing in the American League Championship Series, they do know one thing: they'll have home-field advantage, with the first of a possible four home games coming this Sunday at the Rogers Centre.

With the queue for all four home games opening up at 10 a.m., thousands of Jays fans — and both professional and amateur resellers, we're sure — stepped up to try to get tickets for a matchup against either the Seattle Mariners or Detroit Tigers.

Fans were met with all-too-familiar Ticketmaster experiences: seeing tens of thousands of people in front of them in a queue, receiving the dreaded "These tickets are no longer available" message, and getting bumped or locked out of being able to buy entirely.

X user Sarah Peacock might've summed it up best: "It's honestly as stressful trying to get postseason tickets as it is watching the games."

Tickets for all four games were snatched up within an hour of being open, and hit the resale market both on Ticketmaster and other third-party sites.

On Ticketmaster, the cheapest resale prices at press time for the four home games were as follows: $558, $486, $541, and $606.

On StubHub, the cheapest resale prices for the same games were $392, $500, $597, and $697.

When do the Blue Jays play next?

The Blue Jays will get a few days off before starting the next round of the postseason on Sunday at home. Kevin Gausman and Trey Yesavage will likely be Toronto's first two starting pitchers of the series, but we'll be waiting a few more days until we get final confirmation on the team's ALCS roster.
