OPS Burger
OPS Burger is a funky new Toronto burger joint on Queen West serving up smashed beef patties with crispy edges, melty cheddar, and all the fixings on a buttery brioche bun.
Home of the Wet Burger, a late-night Turkish street food staple that tastes like a cross between a burger, a sloppy joe, and a meatball sub, it's a saucy creation you need to try at least once.
Open seven days a week, from noon until late (we're talking 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), they cater to everything from midday lunch breaks to late-night cravings after last call.

The black-and-white, diner-inspired space features neon signage, exposed brick, and an expansive bar.
Outfitted with a TV playing feel-good movies and shows, the goal was to recreate a cozy at-home feel, but with hot burgers that taste best when fresh and the bonus of zero dishes to clean.
Started by partners Mete Acikgoz and Paula Abogado in collaboration with Executive Chef Kaan Okuyucu, the spot is all about bringing people together over a universal love for burgers.
"Everyone knows what a burger is and how it should taste. We wanted to share our love for burgers with a bigger audience, adding a little twist with each one," Acikgoz and Abogado tell blogTO.
Acikgoz moved to Toronto from Turkey three years ago, most recently managing the Brazilian steakhouse franchise Copacabana. Abogado, meanwhile, is no stranger to the business of caring for people, having spent her formative years as a nurse while also working in the hospitality industry. For the couple, creating a space of their own to connect with customers is a dream come true.
To bring that dream to life, they teamed up with George Brown grad Chef Okuyucu, who designed the menu around three key pillars: fresh, fast, and flavourful.
Since a burger is inherently simple, Okuyucu focused on getting every component just right - sourcing local produce, using high-quality beef, crafting house-made sauces and aiolis, and never skimping on the cheese. You won't find any of that orange-processed stuff here.
The signature Wetburger ($6.49) is a soft, drippy cheeseburger dunked in tomato sauce and steamed. Warm, comforting, and yes, a little messy, it's a burger unlike any other in the city.
While I usually prefer my buns lightly toasted, there's something undeniably satisfying about a tomato-soaked burger that I can 100 per cent get behind.
The Mushroom Burger ($12.49) layers sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, and truffle mayo for a rich and savoury, umami-packed bite.
The Egg 'nd Avocado ($13.99), topped with a runny sunny-side-up egg, makes for the perfect brunch burger. This patty features OPS' signature sauce, a salty, tangy, and smoky blend of capers, spices, and other secret ingredients.
Beyond beef, there's also a veggie burger and crispy fried chicken.
Staying true to their fresh-made philosophy, the Chicken Burger ($10.49) is breaded and fried to order. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavour, the chicken is marinated the day before in a classic buttermilk seasoning spiked with spices. It's served with crisp iceberg lettuce, special OPS sauce, and plenty of sliced pickles.
For sides, choose between classic French Fries ($4.99) or Waffle Fries ($5.49) tossed in Cajun seasoning.
Or, better yet, go all in with the Bacon Cheese Fries ($7.49), loaded with crispy bacon bits and a gooey cheddar sauce.
Not to be forgotten is the Banana Pudding ($5.99) with caramelized sliced bananas on top. Once a Southern staple, it has now become a go-to dessert at many Toronto burger hotspots, and for good reason.
A salty, savoury burger followed by something creamy and sweet? It just makes sense.
OPS Burger is located at 566 Queen Street West.
