CNE Air Show takes to the skies over Toronto this weekend

It's not summer in Toronto until you've spent a day watching breathtaking aerial displays and learning about aviation at the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS).

The CIAS is back in all its glory for its 77th edition this Labour Day weekend, September 5 to 7, 2026.

Guests will enjoy aerial performances, aircraft displays, and more. And the best part is that Air Show tickets include same-day admission to the Canadian National Exhibition grounds.

A highlight of this year's event is the Canadian Forces Snowbirds marking their last appearance at the show before taking a hiatus.

It will likely be the last time the Snowbirds are seen in Toronto skies until the 2030s, ending a longstanding Air Show tradition until replacement aircraft enter service.

"For generations, the Snowbirds have represented the pride, courage and spirit of Canada. CIAS fans have watched them soar the past 55 years over Toronto with absolute admiration," said Lori Duthie, Executive Director of the Canadian International Air Show, in a statement.

"The Snowbirds are the heart of the Toronto airshow. We hope Ontarians come to Toronto Labour Day weekend to show their love and appreciation to the Snowbirds team."

The CIAS welcomes Pink Jet, a non-profit organization that raises awareness for breast cancer through aviation-inspired initiatives, for the first time this weekend.

The group will fly the Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros, a military trainer aircraft, painted in bright pink in support of an incredible cause.

Also making its air show debut is the Jack Aces Formation Aerobatic Team, which will showcase three restored P-51 Mustangs during its performance.

During the weekend, you can also catch aerobatic air-racing star Mike Tryggvason, who returns for his sophomore year at the Canadian International Air Show.

Also returning are the CF-18 Demonstration Team and Ontario native Trevor Rafferty, who will once again take to the skies in his Christen Eagle.

You can also treat yourself to delicious, local eats at the Refueling Station and meet some of the show's featured performers throughout the weekend.

Guests of all ages can also explore the free STEM Zone, showcasing life-size aircraft displays, state-of-the-art VR experiences, and aerospace-themed exhibits.
