Massive block party in Toronto will result in major road closures this weekend

A full day of live music, local food and shopping is set to transform one of Toronto's busiest streets into a pedestrian-only destination this weekend.

OssFest 2026 is coming back for its 10th edition in the city, bringing a free, day-long celebration to one of Toronto's "coolest streets," Ossington Avenue.

Visitors can expect the neighbourhood's restaurants, cafés, bars, and independent businesses to spill out onto the street, alongside shopping opportunities and live entertainment throughout the day.

Unlike many street festivals, OssFest 2026 won't feature food trucks, with the focus instead remaining on the area's existing food and drink hotspots, adding a hyperlocal touch to this popular summer attraction.

No OssFest is complete without its live performers, and this year is no different.

Music performances will take place on the festival's North Stage all afternoon and evening, with performances beginning at 1 p.m. The lineup of local artists includes Emma Campbell, Reposadists, Kunle, Blame Betty, The Violet Archers, David B. Archibald, Brainfudge and Active Mirror, while Canadian rock singer Carole Pope is scheduled to headline at 8 p.m. with Tim Welch.

You can literally dance the day into night on one of the city's chicest streets. 

Drivers should plan ahead if they're travelling through the area since Ossington Avenue will be completely closed to vehicle traffic between that stretch, creating a car-free festival route for the day.

OssFest 2026 is set to take place on July 25 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Ossington Avenue between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West.
