Explore hundreds of off-limits buildings across Ontario for free this spring and summer

Doors Open Ontario returns for another season in 2026, offering locals and visitors the chance to explore hundreds of buildings that are typically closed to the public.

The free program is an initiative of the Ontario Heritage Trust, designed to provide access to culturally significant sites across the province. This year also marks its 25th anniversary, celebrating its continued success as one of Ontario's most popular programs of its kind.

Each year, from April through October, Doors Open Ontario highlights unique buildings, cultural spaces, and heritage sites that are not normally accessible. Since its inception, the program has welcomed 9.5 million visitors, reflecting strong community interest in the history that has shaped the province.
